KAWAII PEN SHOP GLOBAL SHIPPING GUIDE

We provide free standard international shipping on orders above $40 USD (excluding gift card purchases) to most countries. Please review the shipping table below for further information on particular countries.

PROCESSING

The average processing time is 2 to 4 business days; however, please note that the processing time can also be affected by the stock status of individual items, the time of the year, national holidays, etc. 

 

SHIPPING

 

We have currently returned to pre-pandemic delivery speed to the most countries. Please see the timetable below for the estimated shipping time for your country. For orders below the free shipping threshold, the shipping charges will be calculated at checkout.

*To Canada, Hawaii and Alaska we offer free expedited courier shipping with a modified threshold which takes only 3 - 5 business days. 

EXPEDITED SHIPPING

We offer free expedited courier shipping to Canada, Hawaii, and Alaska with a modified threshold. Orders shipped via this method typically arrive within 3–5 business days.

For selected countries, we also offer expedited shipping for an additional fee. If your order is eligible, you’ll see the option to select it at checkout.
Please note: A phone number is required for all expedited shipments to ensure smooth customs clearance.

 

CUSTOMS DUTIES & CLEARANCE

For U.S. customers:
There are no additional charges beyond what you pay at checkout. Your total includes U.S. state tax (where applicable), tariffs, and handling fees, so you won’t pay anything extra when your package arrives.

For EU and UK customers:
We collect VAT at checkout, which means your package will arrive with no additional fees or surprises.

For customers in other countries:
Depending on local import regulations, VAT, customs duties, or other taxes may be charged upon delivery. These fees are determined by your country's customs authority and are beyond our control.

Important: Customs clearance procedures may sometimes cause delivery delays beyond our estimated timeframe. Kawaii Pen Shop is not responsible for any packages held, destroyed, or returned by customs or government agencies. If your package is returned to us due to such issues, we will apply a return shipping fee before resending or refunding your order.

Summary: We aim for smooth, transparent international shipping. Where possible, we collect taxes and duties at checkout to help you avoid unexpected charges at delivery.

SHIPPING INSURANCE

Most carriers provide minimal or no shipping insurance by default. To protect your order, we strongly recommend purchasing Shipping Insurance at checkout.

Shipping Insurance provides premium coverage during international transit. If your package is lost or damaged, we will reship it at no extra charge.

CANCELLATIONS, RETURNS & DAMAGES

Q: Can I make changes to or cancel my order?

We process orders quickly to ensure fast delivery. Once your payment is accepted and the order is confirmed, it enters the shipping process immediately. This means there’s only a short window of time where changes or cancellations are possible.

If you wish to cancel or modify your order, please email us as soon as possible at info@kawaiipenshop.com with the subject line "Cancellation", and include your full name and order number. We’ll do our best to help!

Note: All Kawaii Pen Shop gift cards are non-refundable and non-returnable for cash. However, gift cards do not expire and may be used across multiple transactions until the balance runs out.

Q: What is your return policy?

We’re sorry to hear you didn’t love your order! Please email us at info@kawaiipenshop.com within 30 days of receiving your package. Include your order number, the name of the product(s), and the reason for the return.

  • We are unable to refund original shipping charges or processing fees.

  • We do not offer exchanges.

  • You are responsible for return shipping costs.

  • We reserve the right to apply a restocking fee on returned items.

If your order is returned to us due to an incorrect shipping address, failure to claim the package, or any other issue caused by customer error or negligence, a reshipping fee will be charged before resending or refunding your order.

Please note: We can only accept returns for products purchased directly on our website: www.kawaiipenshop.com.

Q: Can I exchange a product?

We do not offer direct exchanges for any products at this time.

Q: An item in my order was damaged in transit. What do I do?

We're so sorry to hear that! Please email us at info@kawaiipenshop.com with your order number, full name, and a photo of the damaged item. We'll make it right!

Q: How long does it take to receive a refund?

Once you return your item, you can expect your refund within 4 weeks, although it often happens sooner. This includes:

  • 5–10 business days for the return to reach us

  • 3–5 business days for us to process it

  • 5–10 business days for your bank to post the refund


Q: What happens if my package is lost?

In the rare event that your package is deemed lost (not delivered within 120 days), we will issue a full refundonly if Shipping Insurance was purchased at checkout.

You must contact us within 30 days of the expected delivery date to request a reshipment or refund.
